The short version

If you are a consumer in the EU you have fourteen days from receipt to change your mind, except on items we made to your specification — you organise and pay for the return. Anything faulty, damaged or wrong is our problem for two years, and there we refund what the return cost you.

1. Right of withdrawal

You have fourteen calendar days from the day you — or someone you nominate — receive the last item of your order to withdraw, without giving a reason and without penalty.

To withdraw, tell us before the deadline expires by email to soundeen@gmail.com, stating your order number and the items concerned. You may use the model form below, but you do not have to. We will acknowledge your request and send return instructions.

2. Sending the items back

You arrange the return yourself. Send the items back without undue delay and in any event within fourteen days of telling us, to the address we confirm when you write. The direct cost of returning the goods is yours: we do not provide a prepaid label and we do not collect the parcel. Choose a tracked service, pack the items so they arrive undamaged, and keep proof of postage — until the parcel reaches us it remains your responsibility, and we cannot refund an item that never arrives.

Items must come back complete: player, cassettes or vinyls, cables, packaging and any free gift received with the order. You may unpack and try a product as you would in a shop; if its value is reduced by handling that goes beyond that, we may deduct the difference from your refund.

3. When and how you are refunded

We refund within fourteen days of receiving your withdrawal notice, using the same payment method you used, at no cost to you. We may hold the refund until the items reach us, or until you provide proof of dispatch, whichever comes first.

We refund the price of the returned items plus the standard delivery cost of the original order. If you chose express delivery, we refund the standard rate only.

4. Returning part of a bundle

Bundle discounts depend on how many players you keep. If you return an item and the remaining order no longer qualifies for the discount you received, the refund is calculated on the undiscounted price of the items you keep. The same applies to a free gift or free delivery earned by reaching a threshold: if the kept items fall below it, the gift must be returned or its value deducted, and the delivery cost may be retained.

5. Items excluded from withdrawal

In line with Article L221-28 of the French Consumer Code and Article 16 of Directive 2011/83/EU, the right of withdrawal does not apply to:

• goods made to your specification or clearly personalised — in particular a player loaded with audio files you supplied, or an item carrying artwork you chose;
• sealed audio recordings that you have unsealed after delivery;
• goods that are not suitable for return for hygiene reasons and were unsealed after delivery.

This exclusion does not affect your rights if the item is faulty or not as described.

6. Faulty, damaged or incorrect items

If something arrives broken, stops working or is not what you ordered, contact us through the form on our contact page with your order number and a photograph or short video. You still send the parcel yourself, but the fault is ours, so we reimburse the postage you paid on production of the receipt, and we then repair, replace or refund. This is separate from the fourteen-day withdrawal right and is covered by the statutory guarantees described in our Terms of Service, which run for two years from delivery.

Please report visible transport damage within a few days of delivery so we can act with the carrier, and keep the packaging until the claim is settled.

7. Batteries and disposal

Our players contain a rechargeable battery. Do not put them in household waste. They can be handed in free of charge at any electrical or battery collection point, or returned to us for recycling.
